About the Club
The stated objective of Lichfield Swimming Club is to teach, promote and
encourage the art of swimming, with special reference to competitive swimming.
LSC provides pool sessions for young swimmers who want to develop their skills.
Once swimmers are 8 years old, they can become LSC members and stay for a lifetime
-
as our growing band of Masters swimmers will testify!

In addition to a series of internally held championship stroke galas,
culminating in an annual presentation evening in January, the Club competes in a
number of County and District leagues:-
- The Staffordshire League
- The Speedo League
- The Nuneaton and District Junior League
However, the highlight of the competitive year, towards which all swimming
members are encouraged to aim, is the Staffordshire Age
Group Championships, held over two weekends in March.
Club training takes place at The Friary Grange Sports Centre on Mondays,
Wednesdays (Club Night), Saturdays and Sundays. Training
sessions are also held at Nether Stowe School on Tuesdays and Sundays. Feeder
sessions are available to children aged from around six years. Long standing
links with local learn to swim schools also ensure a steady flow of potential new
talent.
